Progeny Update

Ellusive Look has progeny competing in racing and as performancehorses in Australia and Europe. Gabi (AUS) had her first win in April 2018, on just her fourth start.

In 2017 the entire "Peregrino" (Ger) race results were 10:1-0-1, with multiple top five finishes.

Performance

It was always our intention for Ellusive Look to become a Performance Horse upon his

importation to Australia. He, along with some other "Coloured" Thoroughbreds around the

world had not been used as performance horses in previous years, usually due to their rarity. Unlike the other "coloured' Thoroughbred Stallions imported to Australia previous to him, racing was not an option for "Looky" due to his age, he was seven upon his importation.

Ellusive Look spent four months in 2013 training and competing with professionals Brook & Angela Dobbin of Glenwood Park. Brook is a five time Australian Team Representative, a World Cup league winner in four different countries and is also known for his work with top Race and Dressage horses. Both Brook and Ang rode Looky and found he displayed careful, natural jumping ability, with scope, athleticism, versatility and excellent trainability.

Ellusive Look competed at two Official Classic Show Jumping competitions in July/August 2013, 95cm and 1m classes with clear rounds. Having spent only a few months under saddle in Germany and no previous jumping experience at all, we were very happy with this result. His temperament was even more prevalent when competing, being stabled next to geldings and mares, competing both indoor and outdoors, being ridden amongst the crowds of horses and people easily in the warm up areas. At the time of competing he was the FIRST and ONLY ASB registered Frame Overo Thoroughbred Stallion to compete in show jumping in Australia.

He was also trained to Novice level Dressage, with consolidated walk canter transitions

and flying changes.
